BTech/BSc/MS./PhD Chemistry; Comp.Lit. Eight (8) + years exp in analysing chemical composition of flavours & fragrances, understand different columns used in GC-MS/operate/maintain GC-MS & Flame Ionisation Detector (FID),incl. calibration/consumables/troubleshooting/interpret chromatograms/identify compounds /understand flavour/fragrance chemistry/raw materials/their properties. Able to give meticulous attention to detail/be able to troubleshoot instrument issues/ solve analytical problems/have communication/report writing skills/effectively liaise technical teams/present findings. Must extract/purify/prepare flavour/ fragrance samples for GC-MS analysis, incl. solvent extraction/solid phase microextraction (SPME)/analyse chromatograms/ identify and quantify volatile compounds/interpret spectral data using spectral libraries and retention indices.
